Royal London Group consists of The Royal London Mutual Insurance Society Limited and its subsidiaries including Scottish Life and Bright Grey. They are the UK's largest mutual life insurer and the Group has over three million customers and funds under management of approximately £29 billion.
In 2005 Scottish Life identified a requirement for a content management system to manage their public website. After careful evaluation Scottish Life selected the Activedition content management System as the preferred platform to develop their ebusiness. For marketing, Activedition was selected based on ease of use, the ability of marketing to update website content, and the flexibility it afforded. For information technology we proved to Scottish Life that the proposed solution was scalable, performing, and secure and that integration with back office systems which was crucial, could be effectively delivered to support the necessary eservices. We worked closely with Scottish Life to deliver a cost effective and timely solution for them. On the strength of the initial assignment the Royal London Group has had the confidence to use C2 Software and Activedition to deliver the eBusiness throughout the Royal London Group.
With the introduction of pensions simplification legislation, it is vital that we keep our clients and advisors up to date with changes. Our web presence is a vital component of our communications strategy and Activedition allows us to update information very quickly, keep the brand identity consistent and empower our employees to interact more effectively with the web. Previously our IT department had to make changes on behalf of our business analysts. Now the department can focus on more strategic functions. For price, functionality and scalability, Activedition met all our criteria. I was impressed by the enthusiasm of C2 Software and their willingness to help us integrate with our existing platform.
