The growth and ambition of leading internet software developer Dundee based C(2) Software, was emphasised by the company picking up not one but two prizes at the fourth annual Tayside Business Awards 2006.

The awards organised by Scottish Enterprise and sponsored by the Royal Bank of Scotland aims to be a showcase of the areas vibrant and dynamic businesses. Being recognised as one of Tayside's top performing companies is the pinnacle of what has been a hectic but incredible eighteen months for the company. A record year for business saw turnover double to just under £1 million pounds and the company being awarded a prestigious Deloitte Fast 50 ranking for the third year running. This coupled with the gain of credible clients such as the Royal Mint, Age Concern England, University of Reading and Royal London Group and being short listed for the internet industries Online Information Awards confirms C(2) Software's position  as one of the best in its field. Growth of the client base has resulted in the necessity to expand the workforce and increase office space by 30%.

"We are absolutely delighted to have received not just one award but two and to be showing that Tayside can produce leading class companies." said Kirk Potter, Research & Development Director for C(2) Software. "These awards recognise the overall success of the business and in particular Activedition over the last few years. The Skills & Learning award demonstrates our on-going commitment to nurture the high level of skills our staff have attained which has been crucial to the business strategy execution and achievement of our goals.

We see this as being a platform on which we can continue to grow C(2) Software and continue to provide first class solutions to our clients."

Winners of the Tayside Business Awards automatically qualify for the judging for the national final, the Enterprising Scotland Business Awards organised by Scottish Enterprise in summer 2006.
